mmmake feiert 15 Jahre Sandra! Angefangen hat alles mit ihrer Diplomarbeit und der Suche nach einer beruflichen Heimat. Gelandet ist sie dann bei den DomainExperten und da ist sie auch geblieben. Wie sich die Domainverwaltung in den vergangen 15 Jahren verändert hat, erzählt sie im Interview.
Wie bist du zu mmmake gekommen?
Ich hatte mich 2007 noch während meiner Diplomarbeit nach einem Job im Kreis Heilbronn umgesehen und bin so bei mmmake bei den DomainExperten gelandet. Es war damals sogar mein allererstes Bewerbungsgespräch und wenn ich mich recht erinnere, hat mich Thomas Schell, Division Lead der DomainExperten, gleich am nächsten Tag angerufen und zugesagt.
You are part of the DomainExperts team. What exactly are you doing there?
My tasks include everything around domains. I take care of new registrations, transfers, updates, deletions, some technical stuff (name servers, zone management), SSL certificates and setting up email addresses for our customers. I particularly like this variety of tasks and the fact that you are constantly interacting with people and events around the globe.
How has your job changed over the last 15 years?
Overall, my job has already changed a lot in the last 15 years. Overall, the tasks became much more, complex and technical. Specifically related to the interaction with Network Information Centers (NIC) worldwide, many requirements have been simplified, but on the other hand, the introduction of the GDPR has also tied our hands. It therefore always remains exciting to see what innovations (in which country) will come next.
Vor 15 Jahren, das war ja 2007, waren Thomas und ich nur zu zweit bei den DomainExperten. Heute sind wir ein Team aus sechs Personen. Somit verteilen sich die Aufgaben auf mehrere Schultern und man hat mehr Kollegen, die man mit Fragen löchern kann. ?
Your highlight of the last 15 years? (Private and professional)
Mein privates Highlight muss ich auf 2 Highlights erhöhen, nämlich meine beiden Kinder. ? Mein berufliches Highlight waren und sind meine Kollegen. Wir sind ein mittlerweile gut eingespieltes Team.
