We get the TOP 100 seal for innovation!

What makes an innovative company? Probably to move forward with courage, to tackle new things with full enthusiasm and joy and not to shy away from ideas that dance out of line – at least that’s how we answer this question at mmmake. Admittedly, we are still at the beginning of this process, but we have already had our first sense of achievement: we have won the TOP 100 Innovator Award! Of course, we are super proud of that. We were honored in particular in the categories “External Orientation/Open Innovation” and “Innovation Climate”. Recently, the award ceremony took place in Frankfurt am Main. Among them: science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, Germany’s former Federal President Christian Wulff and TV presenter Linda Zervakis.

Always more, always better, always further

To continue to make progress on our path to becoming an innovative company, we have created the Innovation HUB . In this way, we want to give all employees the capacity, time and budget to realize their ideas – regardless of division or unit. For example, social media experts work together with software developers on sustainable apps, and SAP® consultants and creatives on new solutions for the HR sector.

Price question: How is the whole thing supposed to work without everyday work falling by the wayside? We have also taken care of this by giving all Makies 10% of their total working time to realize innovations. Regardless of whether the idea is a hit or not, everyone should have the courage to make unusual suggestions.

Launch PAD – the internal pitch

After conception, it’s off to the Launch PAD: our own internal livestream format! Where innovators pitch their ideas live in front of all the Makies and a jury, with the goal of getting budget and resources to realize their projects. At the same time, all viewers can vote on whether the idea becomes a project or not – deal or no deal? The jury then has the final say, deciding after all the presentations which innovations will go into implementation .

What is the TOP 100 Innovator Award?

The TOP 100 Innovator Award is an innovation competition for medium-sized companies in Germany. Core is a scientific selection process that all participants must pass. On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the comparison, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined and evaluated mmmake on the basis of more than 100 innovation indicators from five categories: innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success.
