Let’s work together to make Heilbronn a Smart City. From optimizing pedestrian traffic to improving public safety to automating lighting and maintaining infrastructure, there are many important issues.

Heilbronn University invites you to the Heilbronn future city Hackathon – supported by the event partners who provide the technical know-how. In recent years, the event partners have already hosted two hackathons at Heilbronn University. This year you have the opportunity to solve exciting challenges in the above mentioned areas around Heilbronn. But you already have your own challenge in mind? Then you can enter them directly in the registration form – we are looking forward to your ideas.

who canparticipate?

Although our primary focus is students, the Hackathon welcomes everyone – whether you’re a student, professional, or tech enthusiast. Our maximum capacity is 100 people, so sign up quickly!

what should youbring along?

Your enthusiasm for innovation, a laptop and a lot of motivation. We will take care of the rest. Sleeping places & showers are available.

what hardware willbe available?

We offer additional hardware components such as Universal Robots 3 E / SCHUNK-5-Finger Hand SVH and several IDS NXT Rio incl. the Lighthouse training platform. If you need something specific, feel free to drop us a line and we’ll be happy to sort it out in advance. For prototype building, HHN’s Makerspace with 3D printers, CNC milling & turning machines or laser cutters can also be used.
