For the launch of our new brand mmmake, we created a 360° brand experience that not only gives the brand a virtual space, but also brings our customers and employees closer to our brand values in a playful way. In this way, we have done for ourselves exactly what we do for our customers: make our brand explorable and tangible.

One of the biggest challenges today and in the future is the better interaction of people, brands and machines. At mmmake, we solve this by combining our expertise in technology, consulting and agency.

Challenge

A metaverse for a heterogeneous target group

How can the new brand be experienced immersively in the virtual mmmake Brand Gallery? How can our guests learn about mmmake’s mission and services through play? We had to ask ourselves precisely such questions in order to successfully put ourselves in the shoes of the virtual visitors. The biggest challenge was to appeal to the broad target group. We needed to create a metaverse that was fun and easy to use for everyone from startup digital natives to corporate boomers.

Our team of experts perfectly coordinates all steps – from conception to creative and technological implementation to deployment. Our metaverse experiences unify aesthetics, technology and user:inside experience. We never lose sight of the use case and follow the principle “form follows function”. In the end, we created a virtual space that is easy to navigate and offers many opportunities to learn and get to know each other.

Brand design, 3D modeling, development

Brand design

At mmmake, we create brand presences that create a unique and recognizable identity. This includes logo, color palette, typography, imagery and all other design elements. This tells the story and central message of a brand in virtual space.

3D modeling

We give brands space. Classic interior design meets development and motion design to create spaces that delight users:inside.

Development

The development is responsible for the implementation of all interactions and movements as well as the logic of the virtual space. Programming languages such as C++, Java or specialized engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine are used here.

Technologies

Spatial & Unity

We are always up to date and constantly working to find new possibilities with new technologies. This is also the case with our digital mmmake Gallery. Here we relied on two software solutions: Unity and Spatial.

Unity is a widely used development platform for creating 2D and 3D content as well as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications, which is what some of our developers:inside at mmmake specialize in.

This project is hosted by the Spatial.io platform, which is known worldwide for its virtual collaboration capabilities. Users can interact as avatars in these spaces and share digital content. It offers a more immersive alternative to traditional video conferencing and is often used in combination with AR and VR.
