Challenge

Sustainable & emotional communication

Events are great and always an experience for the participants. They enable direct interaction with the brand and create a space in which the brand can be experienced with others. However, events often require a large budget and are tied to a single location. This means that it can be a challenge to create added value for other people in other places and at other times. A few video recordings and social media posts are not nearly enough to draw attention to the event or the content on offer.

The challenge for the Würth Open Air was therefore to communicate the event live and sustainably within the community and also to convey the emotions of the event to new target groups.

Solution

(Live) content & cross-media approach

Our experts in the field of moving images and event support accompany the two-day event every year and capture all the emotions and highlights on camera. This creates live content for the social media channels, an aftermovie and, of course, material for the trailers for the coming year. Editing is done live on location so that the clips can be completed and posted on the same day. The event team also manages other activities, such as a social wall where participants can post pictures and videos live from the event to strengthen the community spirit and give each individual a voice.

The constellation of these measures – supported by accompanying performance marketing measures – also makes the event an experience for people who are unable to attend, thus creating additional content and added value for the brand.
