HR-IT target image

As an innovative company with growth ambitions, digitization is high on the agenda at insurer R+V. Primary goal: creating customer and employee experiences. To this end, we have worked with the HR departments to consolidate an overarching and future-proof HR IT target picture.

“Our project name MUTIG is a leitmotif and aptly pays tribute to the (digital) transformation ahead of us.”

Challenge

Interdepartmental workshops

R+V was looking for an external service provider to conduct joint workshops with all HR departments in order to identify the functional and technical requirements for value-added, modern HR work that is geared to the needs of customers. For this purpose, a workshop format should be developed that is flexible and in which everyone can participate. Goal: Understand the needs of the divisions and develop a common HR IT target picture.

Approach

Workshop format made to measure

In order to capture the individual requirements and needs of the departments, we developed a replicable workshop format. This was implemented both remotely and on-site and was based on the design thinking method. Beforehand, the participants received individually tailored pre-readings with market trends and best practices to encourage them to “think again” and “be brave”. In addition, the pain points were asked in advance in order to make optimal use of the time in the total of nine workshops for the development of goal-oriented as well as innovative ideas and solutions.

Benefits

Transparency

Clarity about the needs of the respective departments as well as consolidation within the framework of an overarching target picture.

Participation

Involvement of all specialist departments and identification of interdependencies and opportunities for collaboration.

Value added

Immediate implementation of quick wins following the workshops (e.g. optimization of reporting).
